About the study

• The Study

   

  The Village of Malone spent close to a year evaluating dissolution and alternatives to the status quo that may improve the delivery of municipal services. A Committee appointed by the Village Board completed a Dissolution Study and Plan. On Nov. 6, 2012, Village voters will decide whether to dissolve the Village.

• The Committee

   

  The Village Board appointed an eight-member Study Committee. The Village Board also engaged the Center for Governmental Research (CGR) to assist the Committee.

• Outcome

   

  Village voters decided to retain their government in a vote held November 6, 2012. There were 1,117 votes against village dissolution and 562 votes in favor.
