About the study
The Village of Hoosick Falls, incorporated in 1827, is located in the Town of Hoosick in northeastern Rensselaer County. Last year it embarked on an effort to study and evaluate possible options to the way it is currently structured and provides municipal services. Having been awarded a Local Government Efficiency Grant by the State of New York, the Village has engaged CGR to facilitate a study process looking at Village dissolution and alternatives to dissolution. The goal is to reduce the cost of government, preserve key services and enhance the community's sustainability.
