On June 15, 2010, voters in the Village of Brockport rejected dissolving the village by 959 to 662.
Brockport was the first NY village to hold a dissolution vote under a new state law. The Center for Governmental Research (CGR) and the Rochester Chapter of the League of Women Voters volunteered to assist the Village prior to the vote. In addition to providing oversight at 2 public forums, CGR developed a website as a source of unbiased, nonpartisan information. We recommend you begin here.
