The Plan
The Board of Trustees for the Village of Perrysburg, NY voted to initiate a dissolution process in the spring of 2009. A dissolution study committee prepared the required dissolution plan and delivered it to the Village Board in December 2009.

Study Team
The dissolution plan (and potential alternatives to dissolution) was developed by a nine - member Village/Town Dissolution Study Committee with assistance from the Center for Governmental Research, Inc. (CGR), a nonprofit consulting organization with expertise in government management. The committee was also be staffed by the Village Clerk/Treasurer.

Timetable
In a vote held on March 16, 2010, residents of the Village of Perrysburg voted to dissolve the Village of Perrysburg. The vote was 60 to 9. The village will be officially dissolved as of December 31, 2011.
