The Plan
The Board of Trustees for the Village of North Collins NY voted to initiate a consolidation, merger and dissolution feasibility study in the spring of 2009. A dissolution study committee prepared a report including a formal dissolution plan and alternatives to dissolution and delivered it to the Village Board in December of 2009. Learn More

Study Team
The dissolution plan (and potential alternatives to dissolution) was developed by a nine - member Village/Town Dissolution Study Committee with assistance from the Center for Governmental Research, Inc. (CGR), a nonprofit consulting organization with expertise in government management. The committee was also staffed and chaired by the Village Mayor.

Timetable
After review of the plan, the Village board voted not to pursue dissolving the Village. The Village and Town boards will work together to implement shared service alternatives identified in the report.
